Good morning all it’s cup time again, don’t think we will have to worry about fielding a weakened team, we don’t have enough players as it is. A team that shows some fight and unlike the Arsenal cup game a team that wants to win will do for a start.

Rice is injured as well joining Carroll, Sakho, Arnautovic, Lanzini, Antonio, Reid, Fonte on the injured list.

Interesting that Ayew is not in the squad.

Out of all the players that are fit only Noble seems to have been rested.

Looks like a 442 formation.

Hart

Zab. Ogbonna Burke. Cresswell

Byram Obiang. Cullen. Arthur

Martinez. Hernandez

Cheers, charley.

FOMB, the site's in a right old tangle. Obviously had even more beer than me last night.

What's up with the SKIP ?

Re: ⚽ Wigan v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Whoever writes for the o/s thinks that is Zabaleta in midfield.

"In front of him, the defence will be formed of Sam Byram, Burke, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell.

In midfield, Pablo Zabaleta and Pedro Obiang will patrol the centre of the pitch, with Josh Cullen and Arthur Masuaku in the wide areas.

Antonio Martinez’s childhood dream comes through in attack, as the Spaniard partners Mexico’s all-time leading scorer Chicharito up front."

Looks like four at the back with Byram and Masuaku as wingers. Byram played for Leeds as a winger quite a bit.

Although, I'd be happy with 3 at the back and Zabaleta in midfield.

Re: ⚽ Wigan v West Ham - Official Match Thread
This is a GREAT team. I like the 2 full backs as wingers. SECURITY.

Looks to be a 6 2 2. 1 goal should win this and we have the best finisher on the pitch.

Re: ⚽ Wigan v West Ham - Official Match Thread
From Moyes' Standard column.

"Andre Ayew has had a hamstring problem but has done some running this week and we need to nudge him along a bit. Cheikhou Kouyate has had a problem with his ankle, while Mark Noble has been suffering from a bruised foot."

With everyone injured (including this site), that's quite a fetching line-up. Should be more than enough if Wigan dare to play the game.
